PET Advance - Alveolar Soft-part Sarcoma

General Information:
A 34 year old male presented with a history of recently diagnosed alveolar soft part sarcoma of the right thigh. The PET study was performed as part of an initial staging work-up and to help elucidate CT findings. A CT scan of the chest, performed two weeks prior to the PET study, demonstrated diffuse miliary metastases of both lungs as well as 1 cm pretracheal and subcarinal soft tissue masses in the mediastinum suspicious for metastatic disease.
