Dear Customer,

Our state-of-the-art, high-throughput GE HiSpeed CT/i scanners are serving diligently at the Command Hospital, Srinagar and at the Army Research and Referral Hospital, Delhi. We are privileged to serve the Army as a key provider of medical diagnostic systems.

In May, Mr. Jeffrey R Immelt, CEO, GE Medical Systems, was in India. A team of 60 leaders met in Bangalore and discussed the improving competitiveness and productivity of our products to customers. India, with its wealth of intellectual talent, will play a key role for GE Medical Systems.

In the near future, at Whitefield in Bangalore, GE will set up one of the largest team of engineers and researchers in the world from the fields of Medical Systems, Aircraft Engines, Plastics and Central R&D. This talent pool has the potential to bring significant benefits to our customers here. During Mr. Immelt's visit, GE signed pathbreaking research relationships with leading healthcare centres, Manipal Group and Escorts Group.

This issue re-launches the GE Marquette range of Cardiology and Monitoring products. The Stress systems, ECG, Defibrillators and Monitors from GE Marquette are recognized worldwide for technological excellence. We welcome your feedback and enquiries on the GE Marquette range.

We were privileged when the Hon. Prime Minister, despite a hectic schedule, spent time to inaugurate our Cathlab during his visit to Deendayal Memorial Hospital, Pune.

We thank you for your support which gives us the inspiration to reach new heights to serve you.

Yours sincerely,

D A Prasanna
